-- How sad is that?

I must have been feeling pretty bad about yesterday's lame entry, sent from my phone shortly before midnight in a desperate attempt to meet the day's obligatory NaBloPoMo posting. Because I dreamt last night that I was driving over the Chesapeake Bay Bridge, hit an ice patch and went careening off the edge. As I plummeted towards the water, I thought, "omg! I have to blog about this!"

How sad is that??

Hahaha! Driving over a bridge is one of my biggest fears. I used to have drills to practice what I would do if it happened. I've relaxed a little but it still freaks me out.

NaBloPoMo is kicking my ass, too, but it's also cool in some ways. Like this morning I blogged about something adorable my daughter said. It was something that I normally wouldn't have blogged, but I'm desperate for material. And after I hit "post" and let it sit for a while, I realize it's one of my favorite posts in ages.

too bad for you that it wasn't the delware memorial bridge, at least then you would have had access to that crisis hotline from the electronis billboard...

I hate bridges too. My first big bridge was driving into San Francisco over the Bay Bridge. I timed it perfectly because the DJ on the radio was saying that a recent study showed that the biggest fear that most people in the area had was driving on a bridge during an earth quake. I kept thinking "I'm almost to the other side!"
